Couple's great escape
The location was excellent in the historic geisha district, lively with temples and things to see. Also, I liked the bathroom setup, it had a dryer to save on laundry, which was handy for those expensive travel days!
Wasn't cheap, but it was still reasonable given the experience.

This was just a great match for a quick break in Kyoto with attractive and competitive value for money. The room was basic but comfortable enough for resting after long days exploring the city. Make sure to book a room with better sleeping arrangements if you're sensitive to thin mattresses.

I loved waking up early to explore the popular spots before the crowds hit, and the cozy bed made it easy to recharge after long days. There were nice spots to relax, including a charming lounge area and a lovely garden terrace. Just a heads up, the rooms felt a bit small, but that’s pretty common in Japan. 😄

The room was decent by Japanese standards—definitely bigger than what I experienced in Tokyo. The bathroom was spacious and had a heater for drying clothes, which was a nice touch. WiFi was solid too. The bed was super hard. my husband liked it, but I wasn't a fan. Overall, pretty comfortable, just a mixed bag because of the bed situation.

Perfect spot in Gion!
The location is just fantastic! My partner and I had a nice big room for Japan, and the bed was super comfy. Loved how quiet it was at night. The bathroom was pleasant, too. The staff were really friendly and helpful. One small bummer was that there weren't many dining options nearby. Still, had a great stay!

Staying here was a fantastic experience, especially with the vibrant location that made it easy to explore the Gion sights. I loved the spacious bathroom which came with great amenities, and the room's modern design was a nice touch. However, I noticed that the room was a bit dusty and small, which detracted slightly from the overall experience.

would love to come back here some time
The location is right in the lively Gion district, surrounded by temples. The room was decent size for Japan, with tatami mats and a private bathroom that comes with a shower and tub. Plus, the AC worked great and there’s a heater for drying clothes, which is super handy. Perfect place to chill.

I had a lovely stay here! The location allowed me to explore Gion easily, and the fried fish at Saryo Tsujiri was a highlight. Rooms are a bit compact and could use better tidying, but the amenities were a plus.

The fried fish at Saryo Tsujiri Gion Honten was out of this world! Plus, the location was prime for easy treks to all the Gion sights. Loved the big bathroom too, totally decked out with amenities.
However, the room was tiny and so dusty! That air purifier was definitely working overtime for a reason. Plus, they never bothered to tidy the bed, which was a bummer.

Delightful Stay in a Vibrant Area
Staying here for 2 nights was a treat. The dining scene nearby buzzed with energy, offering delicious local cuisine. Our double room was cozy and offered a serene escape from the lively streets. For a quieter experience, explore the nearby residential areas, which I found more peaceful.
